People Behind the Logo – Meet Andrea Mynes Service Desk & Office Co-Ordinator at Apleona Ireland

When you step into a role at Apleona, you’re not just joining a team — you’re stepping into a community that lifts, supports, and challenges you to grow. No one embodies that better than Andrea Mynes, our driven Service Desk & Office Co-Ordinator, who’s been bringing energy and excellence to her work for the past six years.

Andrea’s journey with Apleona began as an administrator on the UK Helpdesk, but her career quickly evolved as she seized the opportunity to be part of an UK contract mobilisation — a moment that introduced her to the fast-moving, collaborative nature of the company. That experience soon led her across the water to the Irish helpdesk, where she took on the role of one of our IE site Co-ordinators, becoming a key player in day-to-day operations.

No two hours the same

Ask Andrea to describe a typical workday and she’ll tell you: “Dynamic and enjoyable.” Whether she’s managing helpdesk queries or keeping the office running smoothly, her day is filled with challenge, variety, and connection. Outside the office, Andrea’s energy doesn’t slow down. Between gym sessions, running, coaching kids' football, or catching a GAA match with friends and family, she thrives on activity and community. “Not much down time,” she says with a laugh – and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Learning from those around her

Andrea draws her motivation from the people around her. “Seeing others achieve and succeed pushes me to do the same. It’s always enjoyable to learn from the people around us.” That attitude of collaboration has shaped her experience at Apleona. Over the years, she’s developed confidence in decision-making and has learned the power of working across departments to get things done — a skill she credits to the support of colleagues like Linda, Kelsey, and Teresa.

Achievements worth celebrating

When asked about her proudest achievement, Andrea is quick to acknowledge the team around her. “There’s been a lot to be proud of, but none of it would be possible without the support of the people I work with.” From the UK mobilisation to navigating the complex demobilisation of a major office, Andrea has shown how challenges become opportunities when met with the right mindset.

Advice for newcomers

To those just starting out, Andrea offers simple but helpful advice:

“Be eager to learn. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes or ask questions.” That openness, she believes, is key to long-term success in a role that’s constantly evolving.

How would she describe Apleona’s culture?

Andrea answers without hesitation:

“They recognise your potential before you do – and support you to get there.”

In her own words:

“You learn something every day – if you pay attention.”

Thank you, Andrea!
